Rock and roll meets floral and flimsy for Spring and Summer.
Diane Von Furstenberg’s Spring Summer Rock Goddess show was true to form. Artistically decorated flowers adorned the stage with models in flowing dresses with silk flowers and feathers in their hair. Each piece held a strong resemblance to iconic looks from the 60s and 70s; such as short tunics and wrap gowns. Fashion editor, Diana Vreeland was the inspiration behind the vintage designs. When it came to coloring, there was nothing bland about the collection, there were lots of vibrant brights, light pastels, and shiny metallics.
Overall, the collection is a tribute to the “hobo-chic” style. The pieces are light, fun, and sexy, which gives way to a new almost effortless appeal. DVF has created ensembles that makes you feel as gorgeous as a goddess.
