The Chinese Timekeeper’s 2014 New Collection

By Butterboom Writers  /  December 18, 2014

A watch brand that is inspired by Chinese heritage, The Chinese Timekeeper reveals its first-ever pieces in a gorgeous 38mm case. Crafted by the best watchmakers in Hong Kong, these timepieces feature not only striking diamonds but also red jade, making it the first-ever timepiece to use this stone of passion.  Red jade is said to stimulate vitality, strength and passion, and is associated with love and creativity.

Only 38 pieces of the Red Jade Automatic is available. The timepiece uses 11 beads of the purest red Burmese Jade to circle a silver dial. Like all Chinese Timekeeper pieces, the 12 o’clock pays tribute to Su Song, the father of Chinese timekeeping. Along with its red jade dial, the Red Jade Automatic also comes with a red alligator-print leather strap with red stitching and a second strap in white alligator-print leather with white stitching.

The other two designs for the Chinese Timekeeper’s first 38mm case is the CTK 101 featuring a modern design with brightly coloured straps (black, red or white) and the CTK 102 Diamond Skymap Automatic with diamonds on its bezel and dials’ markers. Like the Red Jade Automatic, only 38 pieces are available each for both designs.

The Red Jade Automatic is priced at HK$24,800, the CTK 100 is priced at HK$13,800 and the CTK 102 Diamond Skymap Automatic is priced at HK$28,800.
