What we really like about Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2017 is how it is both feminine and hip-hop at the same time – a cool contrast of ladylike meets ultra-modern. The collection is mostly feminine with lightweight fabric like silk crepe and lingerie details. Of course, the popular Chanel tweed is thrown into the mix in jackets and skirts. Lace is also predominantly used in this collection, sort of like a peekaboo detail for that extra feminine touch. Our favourite is the long Grecian dress in pleated white chiffon and the knee-length Boho dress in psychedelic pink, peach, purple print. This is paired with large hoop earrings for a Sixties feel or layered pearl necklaces for that Chanel signature look.
