Longchamp Celebrates 20 Years with ANDAM

Longchamp’s classic Le Pliage bag gets a reinvention by 3 ANDAM awardees.

The Association Nationale pour le Développement des Arts de la Mode or ANDAM has always championed burgeoning French and international talent and, to celebrate 20 successful years, they have partnered up with Longchamp to bring us 3 unique spins on the trusty Le Pliage bag, created by ANDAM awardees themselves.

Designer Jeremy Scott brings us our first recreated bag. Cheekily called “Noveau Samurai“, this version displays a photo of the designer himself looking like he actually emerges from the bag, clad in a blinding red kimono! The expression on his face is comical, and is sure to provide an entertaining display when toted on your shoulder.

Charles Anastase brings us the second version, choosing to go with an assortment of his personal sketches. The first is a a drawing of worn ballet shoes with the words, “I could sleep 24 hours a day”, and on the other that of Persian cats with text, “In my heart or in my hand”.

And, we’ve saved the best for last, from design duo Bless. The pair, made up of Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag, have made something truly innovative – a Le Pliage Bag that can be converted into a bracelet! Don’t ask us how they did it, but with its unique leather handle, it’s certainly different!
