Gucci brings back one of their classics.
A stalwart of the Gucci archives, the Jackie bag was originally created for former style-setter first lady, Jacqueline Onassis in the 1950s. Bringing this baby back is a great idea. We’ve been told it will be in stores mid- March.
The new Jackie remains faithful to its original design, keeping its rounded edge shape and signature details but updated with a deconstructed soft body, long leather tassels and is a little bigger as per today’s preference for larger bags.
The bag is available in a variety of colours and materials- Gucci monogram canvas, violet, emerald, red and cloud white, as well as traditional muted leather tones. Choose from a range of exotic skins: crocodile, python, ostrich, and soft calf skin.
Thought you might like to know, each Jackie bag is hand-made and takes anywhere from seven to thirteen hours to make.
