If you are after a luxurious beach holiday, then you will want to make The Surin Phuket your home away from home for a getaway to remember. This stunning beach resort has plenty to offer, starting from its tropical lush landscape to one of the most beautiful white sand private beach in Phuket on Pansea Bay. The Surin (a member of Design Hotels™ ) has the perfect location, with the Amanpuri resort on the right and the Surin beach to its right, where you can find a nice stretch of beach-front restaurants and bars. We highly recommend Zazada for a nice Thai lunch (its really much better than any of the local restaurants you will find in this area) and head to Catch Beach Club for a drink and party on the beach, its where locals expats go when the sun goes down.
The Surin is all about getting back in touch with nature, a theme that is evident not only in its surrounding but also its architecture. Designed by well known American architect, Ed Tuttle, who has designed many hotels across the region, The Surin has 103 cottages and suites set within a beachfront coconut grove offering suites that are either nestled with the lush greenery on the hill or closer to the beach. The hillside cottages has partial sea views and the beachfront suites has beach view and direct access to the beach.
If you want to splurge, go for the beach deluxe suite – a 66 square metre beach deluxe suite that is located along the edges of the white sand beach under swaying coconut palms. However which ever cottage you end up in, each cottage is carefully thought-out, has a spacious verandah with a covered sitting area, sun lounging deck and terrace, king-size bed, a luxurious bathroom and a separate living room with a large daybed. We love the little touches that you can find in the room like the Citrus essential oil mosquito repellent, the Aloe Vera aftersun lotion and the essential oil burner in the bathroom.
The Surin has four restaurants to choose from – Lomtalay Thai Restaurant offers a well put together buffet breakfast with the right amount of choices for if you want to eat healthy or spoil yourself with their spread of Thai, Western with Asian offerings; Sunset Café where you can dine casually on an all-day menu of Asian and international specialities; Beach Restaurant for al-fresco dining under the stars or on lush manicured lawn surrounded by soothing waves and of course, fresh grilled seafood; and finally, The Beach Bar, your watering hole during your holiday.
The Surin also has a Spa where you can get pampered in a spa cottage surrounded by Mother Nature’s best. Yoga and meditation classes are also held on the beach on request. There is also a gym with view of the beach, water sports like stand-up paddle, a tennis court and a beautiful deep blue pool facing the sea.
