Here’s a tracking device that does more than just recording your mileage. spotNsave is a Bluetooth-enabled security wristband that links to your smartphone for real-time tracking of your location to up to five of your friends or family members. Founder Chirag Jagtiani first came up with the idea when someone he knew was kidnapped while travelling overseas. The event changed his life and since then, he’s always wanted to do something related to personal security. Fast forward eight years later when Jagtiani founded spotNsave in 2013 by crowdsourcing funds on Indiegogo.
How it works?
With spotNsave, whenever you feel in danger or need help, jut press the SOS button on the band to send an alert in the form of a text message to one of your chosen “guardian angels” so that they know that you are in trouble. Even if you don’t have time to hit the SOS button, there is still real-time tracking of your location so your network of guardian angels knows your every move. The band’s rechargeable battery can run for up to 18 hours and it has the ability to send your last known location even if it runs out. There are no monthly costs or subscription fees; just pair it with your smartphone for it to provide your location through the GPS built in your mobile.
