Here is some great Hong Kong trivia for you, ccording to the Office of the Telecommunications Authority in Hong Kong, the penetration of mobile phones in Hong Kong has risen to 133.4% or 9.33 million subscribers by October 2006. This is up from 8.4 million in October 2005. And of those over 2.2 million subscribe to 2.5G or 3G services.
Huh? That means in a city of 6.9 million (as of July 2006) that almost 1/3 of the city has 2 phone accounts.


Also, the registered Broadband usage rose 6% to 1.727 million. Even more amazing is that 950,682 people in Hong Kong are still using DIAL-UP ACCESS! This means that 68% of all Hong Kong households have Internet connections.
