Miito is reimagining the kettle as we know it. We all have a kettle and we all boil water to make tea or any kind of hot beverage we want to drink. Miito is changing the way we boil water by allowing you to boil water in the container that you will be drinking from with just a rod that you immerse in the liquid. You can heat up any kind of liquid including milk and the soup that’s turned cold in the bowl or pot you’ve kept it in. This eliminates the heating of excess water and less washing up of multiple containers and help us live more sustainably.
Created by German design students, Nils Chudy and Jasmina Grase, Miito looks set to replace the good old kettle as it has already won many design awards and have received massive support from the media.
How it works?
Fill your cup with water, place it onto the induction base and immerse the rod in the liquid. The induction base heats the rod, which then heats the liquid surrounding it. Miito can work with non-ferrous vessels of any size, can heat different kinds of liquids, is easy to use and clean.
The product is not yet in production and is currently accepting backers on Kickstarter. To get your Miito in April 2016, you can pledge €90 + €17 = €107 to be one of the first people to get the first Miito when it comes out.
