If you didn’t want to sign a contract, starting today you don’t have to.

In an exciting move for ‘on-the-fence’ iPhone fans, Apple has now removed the exclusivity with 3 to buy an iPhone. Before you had to sign up for a 2-year contract, now you can order online from Apple’s Hong Kong store and have it delivered to you in 1 day – with free shipping!

The 8GB model starts at HK$5,400 and the 16GB at HK$6,200 looks to make Hong Kong one of the first territories to allow Apple to break its exclusive distribution with 3. So now if you love Smartone or PCCW or CSL you can stay with them and just swap out your SIM card and register online through iTunes.
