Personal Shopping Service Buyma Launches English Website

By Butterboom Writers  /  July 8, 2016

BUYMA, Japan’s personal shopping website for popular designer and everyday brands, has launched its English site ( – which means affordable high-end fashion is now available to savvy Hong Kong shoppers.

BUYMA offers individuals or personal shoppers all over the world a way to sell fashion items at local prices to an international audience, which eliminates the price disparities that exist across different countries for the same branded goods. For us, that means massive savings!

The site has over 80,000 ‘Personal Shoppers’ (online sellers) from 128 different countries since its launch in Feb 2015 and is the number one social shopping service site in Japan. There are over one million items listed for sale on the site, so be prepared to put in a few hours of browsing. We’ve spotted Prada and Michael Kors bags shipped from Italy and US for 50 percent off retail price. You can also shop brands that are not in Hong Kong like & Other Stories from a seller in Germany, Anthropologie curtains and Urban Outfitters duvet covers from Japan at 44 percent off.

How it works:

Once you buy an item, the Personal Shopper (seller) will purchase the items in their country and ship the item directly to you. offers a compensation program for shoppers to cover lost, damaged and quality problems of the goods you purchased as part of their service.

You can be a seller too, if you have items that meet the site’s brand and price requirements. Listing is free and BUYMA takes a fee of 7 percent when item is sold.
