Seatguru is a must-have travel app for anyone who flies, especially for those planning to take a long haul flight. The app helps you find your perfect seat on the plane by mapping out the plane’s seat plan and giving you information on each seat’s pros and cons. The app contains over 700 seat maps for nearly 100 different airlines. Though you may not be sitting up in business or first, you can at least be comfortable enough to get a little extra legroom or an outlet plug. As well as guiding you to the best seat on the plane, the app also gives you an option to search for flights as well as check up on a flights status.

SeatGuru is a free app and is available to download from the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.


Jetlag Genie

One of the worst things about travelling is suffering from jetlag. Thankfully, technology has come up with ways to beat it. Jetlag Genie is an iOS app that creates sleep schedules customized to your specific sleeping patterns and flight info. All you need to do is enter the details of your flight and follow the steps in your specialized daily plan that tell you when to wake up, go to sleep, get some sunshine, and change the time on your watch.

Packing Pro

Packing your bags for a trip can get really messy. There are so many things to consider and worst of all, you always end up forgetting something important. Packing Pro puts an end to the disorganization and gives you a simple and efficient way of packing for your trip. You can create multiple lists for different trips and you can even use the app’s Expert List Assistant to create lists for you based on the number of adults, children and days of travel. What’s great is the app goes even further by taking into account the temperature of your destination, food preparation and even laundry preferences. This multi-tasking app can do so many things; you shouldn’t prep for a trip without it!

The app provides a tips section where passengers can leave comments about what they liked and disliked about the airport which is quite useful if you’re trying to choose which airport to fly from.
