Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL)
Founded in 2009 by former college athletes and identical twins, Adam and Ryan Goldston, APL is a favourite with basketball players. Known for creating the first pair of trainers proven to instantly make you jump higher due to their 8-spring Load ‘N Launch Technology, yes you heard that right!

Dharma Bums is a sustainable active-wear brand that just entered the Hong Kong market. Founded by yoga teacher and fashion designer Debbie Lawson, who was inspired to take her yoga practice off the mat into her standard everyday life. Its clothes are approved by Ethical Australia, meaning everything is eco-friendly and no harsh chemicals are involved. Our favourite thing about Dharma Bums are the beautiful leggings in different patterns.

In April 2016, Beyoncé bestowed a sportswear line in collaboration with Topshop, named Ivy Park. Aimed at hipsters, Queen Bey has certainly helped boost its street cred and we love how the clothes are designed with an edge; mixing technical sportswear with a unique fierce style.

Fusing her native Brazilian flair with L.A sensibility is Ilana Kugel, Founder of Koral. All of the clothes are extremely stylish and made from high quality fabrics. Loved by yogi’s, the designs are sexy and fashion forward like the soft mesh t-shirts and their signature black liquid-like leggings.

Inspired by mixing ready-to-wear with active wear, London-based LAAIN is one the latest labels to emerge from U.K. Although the clothes have a higher price point than LuLulemon, the company prides itself for using luxury fabrics to create sophisticated workout clothes. All of their clothes are designed with minimalism and we love the small bold details.

After finding success as one the biggest active wear brands to emerge from Australia, Lorna Jane has finally branched out to Hong Kong. Since it’s inception in 1990, the Lorna Jane brand has over 200 stores worldwide and continues to inspire women to practice active living outside of the gym. The styles are made for every sport you can think of including running, swimming, dancing and spinning.

Described as ‘Effortless, functional and versatile’ by LNDR itself, the brand was created by a group of industry professionals with the aim to create active-wear to wear outside of the yoga studio. Each design focuses on technical performance, perfect for fitness junkies looking for anti-bacterial and weather proof fabrics with air-wick technology. Did we mention Gigi Hadid is a fan?

MnD is a young athleisure brand who has been gaining attention for it’s chic yet sexy designs. Founders Marjorie and Daniella creates styles made from high-tech fabrics imported from Europe like quick dry Italian fabrics and high tension fabrics so everything is durable. The company prides itself on being a luxurious apparel company, and it also boasts an impressive range of sports bra.

Founded by Stefanï Grosse, she has an impressive fashion and fitness background with experiences at Donna Karen and Calvin Klein. Inspired by her passion for Tennis, Monreal London offers stylish pieces that’s functional on the court. The first capsule collection was a sell-out success in Harrods in 2013 and since then, Grosse has continued to create pieces using luxury fabrics with a focus to improve performances and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques.

L.A-based label merges the gap between urban fashion and active wear. Already established in the States, the brand has grown impressively and carries a wider range to choose from. They carry an impressive selection of designs with a focus on simplicity in the label’s signature neutral colour palette like navy blue and beige. So whether you’re hitting the dance studio or going for brunch, you’ll be looking chic.

Founded by 3 cross fitters, this homegrown brand celebrates high quality workout t-shirts. The clothes are designed for men and women looking for fun, colourful t-shirts made from organic cotton.
