New kid on the block GRANA has officially launched their website. GRANA is created for the woman who wants good quality, affordable, classic pieces. Based in the city, the creative force behind the pieces is well-known Hong Kong designer Anthony Hill. The aim for the GRANA team is to source the best fabric possible and create simple elegant pieces which can fit into anyone’s wardrobe, from silk for shirts from Huzhou, Peruvian Pima cotton for soft basic T-shirts and soon to be added to the collection Japanese denim, French poplin and Mongolian cashmere. (Butterboom has also heard that the best Irish linen – yes the real stuff! – will also be available.)
If you check out the site, you may also recognise a familiar face as one of the people spearheading GRANA’s first campaign… social media icon and DIY superstar Geneva from A Pair and A Spare.
Definitely for the working woman, a good quality shirt is always a must. The silk shirts are cut in a very classic shape and a medium should fit curvy ladies well (I am a UK size 12 and curvy, so if a medium fits me then it should fit most curvy ladies without the horrible gaping shirt situation). The silk shirts come in a multitude of colours and would be good for both work and weekend brunches where they can be worn with denim shorts or jeans and some little ballet flats.
We love the bright coral silk shirt, but a better investment purchase would be the white or black silk versions. Also loving the V-Neck T-Shirt in navy which would be great for running errands around the city.
How Does It Work?
To minimise shipping costs (they use DHL Express so the cost will be added at the end when you make your purchase), GRANA have incorporated a shipping guide by offering 3 sizes of shipping boxes (Small has 10 spaces, Medium 20 spaces and Large 50 spaces). Each item has a space allocation, so for example, a blouse takes up “2 spaces”.
