New French underwear and swimwear brand Le Slip Français opens its first flagship store in Sheung Wan.Le Slip Français’s underwear are known for its value as well as authentic French heritage fused with a modern twist and a sense of humour. Proudly made in France the store stocks a whole range of men’s apparels, accessories and undergarments, including its popular boxer brief and at the launch of the store, the very first scented brief in the world. Rub the brief and it diffuse a scent.. cheeky indeed!
The shop exudes a chic minimalist French feel with capsule boxes used to display the products. This goes in line with the brand’s vision of its authentic cultural heritage. Founded in September 2011, Le Slip Français started in the sleepy commune of Saint-Antoine-Cumond, when founder Guillaume Gibault made a wager with a friend to manufacture quality underwear using traditional French craftsmanship. Keeping true to his wager, in September 2011, the first 600 pairs of underwear consigned from a small workshop on the banks of the River drome in Dorgodne was delivered to Paris and leslipfrancais.fr was launched. Three years later, the brand has expanded to include partnerships with major established brands like Agnes B, Princess Tam Tam, pop-up stores, a flagship in Paris and its latest Hong Kong store and this year marks the brands sale of its 60,000th garment from over 120 different lines.
Prices range between HK$120 for socks, underwear starts from HK450 and swimming shorts go for HK$1,350.
