The brand’s first concept store outside of Japan will open here in mid-August.

This mid-August, Double Standard Clothing will debut its concept store in Hong Kong – the first outside of Japan. Founded in 1999, the tongue-in-cheek label is coined by Chief Designer and CEO, Mr. Takino Masahisa, who creates comfortable clothes that are modern and elegant.

The shop at Hysan Place, Causeway Bay, will mirror the clean-cut, polished interior found in their Japan shops (there are more than 40 of them in Japan), right down to the cream colored carpet and light wooden flooring. These serve to separate their two product lines, namely Double Standard Clothing and SOV,  the former offers chic apparel whereas the latter, feminine frocks.

Spring/Summer 2012 collections will be on display when the store opens featuring dreamy, romantic outfits that has a sense of laid-back ease to them. Both collections are inspired by Venetian canals, which explain the use of turquoise and pastels as key colors.
