For two days – 15 and 16 November 2014 – Hong Kong will be turned into a massive “carnival” with the annual Standard Chartered Arts in the Park Mardi Gras 2014. Taking place in Victoria Park, this massive community arts events is a celebration of arts and creativity. There will be giant puppets, illuminated artworks, fun carnival art stalls, a Mad Science Hunt, non-stop performances, visual arts and plenty more.
Highlights of the event you don’t want to miss:
Twilight in the Park
15 November, 5pm to 8pm, Central Lawn, Victoria Park
The park comes alive into a party mood as sand painters, light jugglers and dancers kick of the festivities for a nighttime celebration. There will also be a bewitching Night Parade featuring dazzling illuminated giant puppets and costumes.
Grand Finale Parade
16 November, 3pm to 4:30pm, Central Lawn, Victoria Park
Robots, aliens, exotic plants and a space shuttle roam through Victoria Park in this parade where 600 young people in magical costume parade with giant hand-made puppets.
