Sotheby’s will hold the most comprehensive exhibition of Fan Ho’s photography that features over 30 vintage works by the celebrated photographer and film director from 14 to 30 June at the Sotheby’s Hong Kong Gallery in One Pacific Place. These photos are unique in that they nostalgically document life in Hong Kong in the 1950s. At the same time, the exhibition will also showcase Fan Ho’s related personal effects such as the original Rolleiflex f3.5 camera that he used in his career.
Coinciding with the exhibition is also the release of Fan Ho: Portrait of Hong Kong, a photo book featuring never-before-seen images of Hong Kong’s old streets, quaint corners and harbour views in the 50s and 60s with a foreword by director John Woo.
