Highly regarded young Chinese painter Li Zi will be debuting her exhibition at Fabrik Gallery in Sheung Wan on October 29th.

Her exhibition titled Mysteries features 10 hauntingly beautiful monochromatic works. Li Zi gets her inspiration from photographs, taken either by herself or friends which she then “extracts the mystery from the photos”. The photos are all taken in China but somehow loses their Chinese characteristics and looks mysteriously Northern Europe. The artist typically uses a sombre, almost monochromatic palette to impart a sense of mystery and melancholy.
