Living Sculptures: The Art of Bonsai At Sotheby’s Hong Kong Gallery

Sotheby’s Hong Kong Gallery is pleased to present a selling exhibition of bonsai trees, titled Living Sculptures: The Art of Bonsai, from the 17th to the 30th of June at its space in Admiralty.  

Bonsai generally refers to potted plants, to be specific it refers to trees grown with specially cultivated skills and conforming to recognised ancient standards.  The exhibition will feature 16 bonsai dating from the late 18th century to 2000, each tree reflects the aesthetic vision and skill of an artist combined with the will of nature with their fascinating sculptural features.  The living tree sculptures demonstrate the harmonious fusion of man and nature, where the the beauty of lies.
