Asian Art Archives (AAA) is Hong Kong’s independent non-profit art organisation dedicated to preserving the documentation of art is celebrating their 15th anniversary. Established 15 years ago to document and make accessible the multiple recent histories of art in the region, AAA has one of the most extensive collections of material on contemporary art in Asia, made accessible to the public free of charge and on their website.
This year’s Asia Art Archive (AAA) Annual Fundraiser is organising an auction of over 80 donated works of art from local and international artists and galleries. The auction will take place at The Space from 10 to 13 November with an accompanying dinner and auction on 14 November. Paddle8 is accepting bids via their online platform from 30 October to 14 November.
Among the pieces that will be auctioned at the AAA Annual Fundraiser are artworks from celebrated Hong Kong-based artists such as Wucius Wong, Map Office, Trevor Yeung, Lee Kit and Ho Sin Tung as well as prominent Chinese artists such as Liu Wei, Zhang Xiaogang, Xu Bing and Song Dong. Various artists from the region will also be presented, including Vivan Sundaram from India, Yoko Ono from Japan and Tiffany Chung from Vietnam.
