Black and White From Day to Night

We know a working wardrobe can be a drag – even more so when you are limited to only a few colours. Black and white is a standard working girl colour combination, but we have switched things up a bit to show you how to make the look trendy and modern while still maintaining a professional persona.

The trick lies in textures – combining clashing and interesting fabrics will take your outfit from boring to brilliant, and it is so easy even a novice can rock it. Think leather and lace, sheer and sturdy, and perforated and smooth. A great way to update this look is to go for slightly off white items such as very light pink or blue.

The tendency when wearing simple shades is to go overboard on accessories. We suggest toning down on these and letting the fabrics do the talking. Instead, choose classic pieces such as a large-face watch and daring sunnies. And go mad with a pair of bright coloured shoes.

The best thing about this look? It is going to take you from day to night with ease.
