What all these Christian Dior banners are about?
It’s been an unraveling mystery on Butterboom.com since last week and yesterday Christian Dior pulled back the “black” veil on their new online short film The Lady Noire Affair starring Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard and directed by Olivier Dahan.
The beautiful Marion Cotillard won an Oscar for her portrayal of French songbird Edith Piaf in “La Vie en Rose,” and will be seen this Summer opposite Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in the Micheal Mann directed Public Enemies — the story of John Dillinger, the infamous bank robber set in 1930’s America — as well as a new musical movie from the director of Chicago: Nine with a huge ensemble cast including Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Kate Hudson.
But today you can see her in Dior’s new digital campaign, with the centrepiece being the online exclusive short film: The Lady Noire Affair. A throwback to the classic films of Hitchcock, and what is definitely a love letter to a more stylish time in movie cinema history. Yes, its a long commercial for a new handbag, but it’s so gorgeous you can’t help but be swept up by it. See for yourself by clicking here. You can also follow this campaign on Twitter.
