Kate Middleton looks set to be the next royal style icon after Diana as the fashion press has reported that dresses she’s pictured in have sold out as soon as she wears them! Kate follows in the footsteps of new First Ladies Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni with styles that lean towards the more polished, elegant and classic looks but that are, most importantly, accessible to everyone.

Kate wore a blue Issa dress (from her favourite Brazillian designer) for her engagement announcement to the press which sold out within hours in London. In the official engagement portrait photos shot by Mario Testino released recently, she sported a white Reiss dress that looks amazing (see above).  The white ruffle ‘Nannette dress’ from Reiss is from the 2010 Autumn collection and is reported to cost around 170 pounds. Reiss, a London based high-street label with 3 stores in Hong Kong, has announced that it will re-release the Nanette dress in January 2011, as part of the Reiss Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

We just heard, the dress will be in store in mid February instead of mid January as previously reported and will retail for HK$2699.
