Hong Kong’s stars and the fashion elite come out for Escada.
Escada held their Spring/Summer 2008 fashion show last week at Pacific Place’s Garden Court. One of our all-time favorite Hong Kong movie stars, Anita Yuen Wing-Yi (è¢è© å„€) appeared as a special guest on the day of event, as well as top models including Eunis Chan and Lisa S. who were on stage to reveal 30 different outfits from Escada. They were cheered by a host of stars and celebrities off stage including Helen Rong, Candice Yu, Ruby Yao, Ankie Beilke, Sharon Kwok, Olivia Davies, Almen Wong, Catherine Hung, Monica Chan, Victoria Tang, Marisa Zeman, Perveen Crawford, Samantha Sun and Rabee’a Yeung.

Thriving on the ESCADA collection’s 80’s heritage, a combination of Norman Parkinson’s images from the 80’s summer kissed skin, exotic surroundings and bright coloring led to the idea of the ambassador’s wife, the story behind ESCADA’s Spring/Summer 2008 collection. The ambassador’s wife is sophisticated, cosmopolitan, sensual, daring and joyful. She leads and elegant and exotic life, filled with glamorous parties and exciting travels.
The waist is a focal point. Jackets and shirts show softer shapes; with their volume often controlled by a belt whish is elegantly slung around the waist. The shirt jacket, the pareo, the round shaped high-waisted trousers and a strong selection of dresses define the-silhouettes of the season. Additional must-haves are tuxedos, short skirts, jump suits and tuniques in vibrant shades. Color blocking is crucial. The daring combination of colors and textures refer to ESCADA’s heritage.
