Who was your best dressed on the red carpet?

Madonna in Vionnet, Keira Knightley in Valentino, Natasha Poly in Gucci

The stars were out for 2011’s Venice Film Festival and they brought some gorgeous designer gowns with them! Here’s our round-up of our favourite looks from the festival.

Keira Knightley in Mary Katranzou and Valentino

Keira Knightley showcased her sleek new bob with this colourful but chic Mary Katranzou Fall 2011 dress, looking stunning in the unusual and unique print. She then opted for a more romantic look with this Valentino Fall 2011 Couture gold embroidered tulle gown.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Prada (Pink and Coral), Natasha Poly in Gucci

We already featured Gwyneth Paltrow’s pretty-in-pink Prada look, but she also looked gorgeous and glowing for the Contagion photo call, wearing a casual coral Prada mini-dress matched with Nicholas Kirkwood floral peep-toes.

Supermodel Natasha Poly also added a splash of colour to proceedings with this billowing fuchsia Gucci Fall 2011 gown.

Diane Kruger and Jessica Chastain in Elie Saab

There’s no beating Elie Saab for creating show-stopping red carpet moments. The designer’s ultra-feminine, ethereal style continues to be a fashionista’s favourite, with both Diane Kruger and Jessica Chastain opting for these beautiful Fall 2011 lace dresses on the red carpet.

Vittoria Puccini in Versace, Vivian Hsu in Christian Dior

Vittoria Puccini looked similarly angelic in this heavenly Fall 2011 Versace white gown, embroidered with Swavorski crystals and a white feather train.

Taiwanese star Vivian Hsu looked lady-like in this sophisticated Christian Dior Spring 2008 ensemble, accessorised with dazzling Piaget jewels.

Andrea Riseborough in Christian Dior, Madonna in Vionnet

Andrea Riseborough is the new ‘one to watch’ as the young British actress made her debut on the international stage in this Fall 2009 Christian Dior Couture princess gown, which sparkled with intricate embellishments.

Meanwhile, her director for new film W.E. – none other than Madonna – went for a more fun look, with a custom-made baby blue Vionnet dress embellished with red butterflies and finished off with glittery red Miu Miu sunglasses.
