Butterboom’s Best Dressed of the Week – 8 Mar 2012

By Butterboom Writers  /  March 8, 2012

Celebrity stylist Celia Wong takes a look at who wore what last week.

Check out who wore what at last week’s major events in Hong Kong. Celebrities Gigi Leung, Mandy Lui, Amanda S, Hilary Tsui and Angela Baby dressed up for the G-Star store opening and Repetto shop opening events.

Celebrity: Mandy Lui
Event: Repetto shop opening
What she wore: La Perla dress, Repetto shoes
Celia’s comments: Mandy is the best dressed this week. Love this elegant and sexy ballerina look on her; it suits her perfectly. Corset top with lace details, mini skirt, cute shoes and hair up, apart from looking classy, she has seriously raised the bar for fresh spring looks this season.

Celebrity: Hilary Tsui
Event: G-Star store opening
What she wore: G-Star
Celia’s comments: It’s a seemingly simple outfit, but Hilary is shaking things up with a touch of rock. I love the way she matches the basic black outfit with star stockings and electric blue shoes, and immediately the whole look stands out. Good job!

Celebrity: Angela Baby
Event: G-Star store opening
What she wore: G-Star
Celia’s comments: Abandoning her usual girl-next-door sweet look for a minute, Angela Baby pulls off an edgy look with a fitted leather jacket and short jump suit. What a good way to show us simple outfits can be stylish at the same time.

Celebrity: Gigi Leung
Event: Repetto shop opening
What she wore: Alexander McQueen dress, Repetto shoes
Celia’s comments: Gigi carries the ballet theme very well. Her look has a romantic feel to it – loose-fit dress, soft and flowy, nude and pure. Because of her height and slender figure, she can get away with flats. Nicely done.

Celebrity: Amanda S
Event: Repetto shop opening
What she wore: Miu Miu dress, Repetto shoes
Celia’s comments: Love Amanda’s dress – it’s puffy, 3D and full of volume. She carries it well. Matching the neutral coloured dress with sharp orange shoes is a good call. However, I’d suggest adding a belt to highlight he waistline.

Event: Clé de Peau Beauté UV Protection Cream & Brightening Serum Supreme launch event
