Butterboom’s Best Dressed of the Week – 29 Feb 2012

By Butterboom Writers  /  February 29, 2012

Celebrity stylist Celia Wong takes a look at who wore what last week.

Check out who wore what at last week’s major events in Hong Kong, including celebrities Miriam Yeung, Lau Sum Yau, Hilary Tsui and Jacqueline Ch’ng dressed up for the Wyhman Wong concert, b+ ab, Furla and MCM events.

Celebrity: Miriam Yeung
Event: Wyhman Wong concert
What she wore: Johanna Ho dress
Celia’s comments: Miriam is the best dress this week. She looks super elegant in this evening dress. From the front, I love the way the dress embraces her curves. From the back, it reveils a sexy bare back and the 3D ruffle details. It’s not just a regular black number for the evening. Very nice!

Celebrity: Hilary Tsui
Event: Furla event
What she wore: Johanna Ho dress and belt, Furla candy bag
Celia’s comments: Hilary is determined to set the tone for spring – pink, and more pink and red. The bright colours suit her. Extra points go to the red handbag. It’s a cute touch.

Celebrity: Jacquelin Ch’ng
Event: drama event
What she wore: izzue tee, 7 all mankind jeans, LV boots
Celia’s comments: Jacqueline’s simple outfit has a rock feel to it. Black and white top, tight jeans tucked inside the boots. Then the little red gloves come in to add some major contrast.

Celebrity: Lau Sum Yau
Event: b+ ab event
What she wore: b+ ab
Celia’s comments: Lau Sum Yau looks refreshing in this spring dress. The bob hair and make-up match the whole look very well. But it would have been nicer if she can accessorize a bit more, say, add a belt to give herself more shape and a bit more edge.

Celebrity: Chan Yun May
Event: mall event
What she wore: unknown
Celia’s comments: Although floral print is popular this season, Chan Yun May’s dress has failed to deliver. The cutting of the dress is unflattering. The busy pattern doesn’t help in defining the shape of the dress or of the wearer. The little help from the accessories unfortunately doesn’t really help her pull the look off.

Event: MCM event
What she wore: Victim London vest and boots, Top shop pants, MCM toy
