Fashion brand Gianna Versace, better known as simply Versace, was launched in Milan in 1978, when namesake Gianna released his first womenswear collection. Building up it’s following over the decade, the brand gained widespread coverage in 1994, when actress Elizabeth Hurley wore a black Versace dress to the movie premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Following his death in 1997, the company has been led by his sister, Donatella Versace, taking on the role of Creative Director taking the brand into a new age. Presently, over 80 boutiques are operated worldwide.
Presently, the Versace range includes a range of fashion clothing, bags, shoes, and accessories, for both men and women.
