Italian fashion house Prada was founded by Mario Prada in Milan in 1913. Prada started as leather good shop and was known for their craftsmanship in creating high quality leather bags and trunks.
Currently, the house of Prada is headed up by Mario’s granddaughter Miuccia Prada and her husband Patrizio Bertelli. They have turned the once leather good bottega into one of the leading luxury powerhouses in the world with over 350 stand-alone stores and a public listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
Prada’s range of products includes men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collection, bags, accessories, shoes and eyewear. Prada’s sister brand Miu Miu was launched in 1993 and targets younger consumers.
