Founded in Sydney, Australia, in 1938 by Boyd Lane for importing quality European textiles, luxury fashion brand, Oroton, is all about the appreciation of the good life.
Originally serving the then emerging fashion industry, the name came to be in the 1950s when they took an interwoven metallic mesh and developed it into their first mesh piece – a make-up powder puff compact symbolising luxury, elegance and sophistication.
Taking this further, Oroton (Oro meaning gold) developed what was to become their signature style in a range of shimmering gold and silver mesh purses and evening bags. Timing played an essential role, when Australian fashion was coming into a new era and was in a revolution of defining its own style.
Operating 50 stores across Australia and New Zealand, Oroton has extended its outward reach to include a presence in Asia with stores in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
Today the brand offers a variety of luxury items for men and women, from bags, wallets, and accessories, to clothing, jewellery, lingerie, beauty, fragrance, shoes and eyewear.
