New York fashion label Marc Jacobs began in 1984 with the launch of the first collection designed by Marc Jacobs. A business partnership to date with Robert Duffy, Jacobs became the youngest designer to even be awarded the The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent. Building upon the brand and its ready-to-wear collections, a subsequent diffusion line was also released in 2001, by the name of Marc by Marc Jacobs.
Jacobs became the creative director of luxury French fashion house Louis Vuitton from the years 1997-2013, where he not only introduced the brands first ready-to-wear clothing line, but also lead a series of collaborations with a host of artists including Stephen Sprouse, Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama, and even rapper Kanye West.
The Marc Jacobs range includes his menswear and womenswear collections, bags, accessories, shoes, eyewear, watches, and more.
