Diesel, Hong Kong

Founded by Renzo Rosso in 1978, Diesel is a popular denim brand known for their edgy styles with attitude. Diesel started as a small denim label but their popularity grew when they sold vintage looking jeans to young bankers in New York at a premium price. Soon the Wall Street Journal declared Diesel as “the label of the moment.”

Since their debut to today, Diesel continues to sell expensive jeans and has expanded to a casual clothes aimed at a younger market. In 2013, Nicola Formichetti who was previously Fashion Director at Vogue Hommes Japan joined as Creative Director and responsible for continuing to build Diesel’s youth-driven image.

Today, Diesel is part of the OTB Group, a company to some of the most iconic fashion brands in the world like Maison Martin Margiela, Marni, Viktor & Rolf. The company offers both casual menswear, womenswear, jeans, bags and accessories.
