Australian shoe brand UGG, famous for their comfy sheepskin boots lined with sheep fleece and an outer sheep skin dyed in every other shade and material, is finally planning its expansion into Hong Kong. The UGG boots first originated in Australia and New Zealand and became popular in California when Brian Smith first started selling UGG boots in the States to surfers to keep their feet warm after surfing!
Today, UGG boots have become fashionable footwear with a celebrity following and retail outlets all over the States, Canada, the UK and now HK with a stand-alone store planned for 2011. Currently, UGG boots are sold at Lane Crawford and fans can check out their pop-up store at the Lane Crawford Tsim Sha Tsui store.
Whatever your opinions are toward the aesthetics of the UGG boots, one thing is for sure – UGG boots are super comfortable and their bigger size and shape do makes your legs look slimmer!
With a casual summer line and accessories line planned for 2011, UGG is planning on delivering comfort in everyday shoes. We look forward to seeing if UGG pulls off what we’ve all been waiting for – comfortable shoes that still look good.
