Phillip Lim Fall/Winter 2015 Collection

By Roxanne  /  April 2, 2015

Phillip Lim’s latest AW 15 collection makes the most of the colder months with versatile separates and an easily incorporated colour palette. Tones of red, black, white and soft grey could have been boring, but when combined together in architectural designs the result is an appealing collection that works.

Renowned for his ability to craft effortless pieces that appeal to the modern woman while still maintaining an air of rebel, Lim has not forgone this reputation, and just refined it for winter. Think office appropriate black and white check pencil dresses combined with stiletto boots that add just the right amount of grunge. A blood red leather asymmetrical skirt knocks the socks off the soft aesthetic of a steel grey fluffy pullover and a stark white two button a-line jacket gets sexy when combined with a ripped satin dress in the same hue.

This collection is a testament to the longevity of the Phillip Lim brand. The modern woman demands a lot from her wardrobe, and Lim caters to her beautifully. She wants to be professional but also wants to be sexy and she demands longevity but also wants to be fashionable. A lot can be said for a designer who listens to his customers needs, and Lim has proven that he is all ears.
