It’s classy meets edgy with the latest Smythson collaboration with designer Jonathan Saunders. This is the second collaboration between the British luxury leather specialist and the Scottish fashion designer known for his print work.
The result of this collaboration is a reinterpretation of Smythson’s classic Eliot folios and Grosvenor document cases. Reworked with Saunders’ creative eye, these classics feature graphic designs and bold colourways in a range of new hues from bold reds and blues to classic shades of black and grey.
Made from soft, supple taurillon leather, the Eliot folio with its prominent curved panels comes in an option of clean Nile blue and white interior, a ruby and black combination with graphic blue interior, or a dove grey and midnight blue option with a pop of bright blue interior. A tinge of colour in the lining gives it a fun element. As for the Grosvenor document case, the Saunders version is made from fine French calf leather in a selection of bold shades and with eye-catching details like the Eliot. The classic Nile blue version is paired with clean white and vivid green lining, the black and red combination create a unique contrast, and the dove grey and black intensifies with a pop of blue inside. A silver clasp adds on to its elegant element.
The Eliot Folio is priced at HK$14,000 while the Grosvenor Document Case is priced at HK$17,500.
