One of the most well known and respected brands in jewellery, Cartier has maintained this reputation over time due to consistently designing forever pieces. Designs such as the Love Bracelet, Trinity Ring and the more recent Juste un Clou bracelet with its bent nail design that has been seen on almost every fashion editors arm, are style staples. The same can be said for the rest of the collections, with vintage art deco era designs still being auctioned for above their original prices. Big, bold and unapologetically glamorous, Cartier designs are made for people who want to stand out. A Cartier diamond is an investment to say the least, but for the more frugal who still want to own a piece of the legendary brand, you can pick up a gold piece for under HK$20,000.

Mikimoto is Japans most famous luxury pearl brand. This is the place for top quality pearls and exquisite designs. The brand was founded by the pearl master Kokichi Mikimoto, who became the first in the world to successfully culture a semi-spherical pearl in 1893. Since then it has expanded globally to include stores on prestigious Fifth Avenue in New York, Place Vendome in Paris, and New Bond Street in London. A Mikimoto design is very feminine, and as such they make great gifts on occasions such as mothers day or as a baby gift, but this is not the place for someone who appreciates more robust styles. We think that a black singular pearl necklace is a great investment piece and can be worn with almost any outfit.
