Never thought that you could afford to buy a collector grade watch at auction? Actually, you can.

The (very appropriately named) Sotheby’s Hong Kong Important Watches Autumn Sale 2016 is taking place on 5 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. We get a special preview with Sotheby’s press manager, Benedict Tsang, who let us in on what you can buy with a budget of HK$30,000 to $HK60,000.

The Sotheby’s auction will feature a wide range of luxurious timepieces from celebrated makers like Patek Philippe, Richard Mille, A. Lange & Söhne, Audemars Piguet, Panerai, and Jaeger-LeCoultre, and all pieces are affordable for first-time buyers. Here are three watches to keep your eye on (and your bids, come October 5!)
