Madonna moves over to Dolce & Gabbana.
Fresh from her stint with Louis Vuitton, the ultimate Material Girl Madonna has bagged yet another endorsement. This time, she will work for her friends of over 18 years, Dolce & Gabbana who have always been interested in working with Madonna have only now taken the plunge.
Set in a New York convent and shot in black and white by Steven Klein, Madonna appears like a sensual Italian housewife straight from the 1950s. The ad features Madonna in various mundane shots, in the kitchen, eating breakfast and cleaning the dishes.
A very down to earth take that is a big departure from Dolce & Gabbana’s normally flashy and glossy ad campaigns.
From brainstorming to picking out clothes from the Spring 2010 collection, Madonna was very involved in the process; creating a look that was disheveled, rumpled and, of course, effortlessly sexy.
