For its 165th anniversary, Kiehl’s has opened its Natural Mix Market at its Fashion Walk store in Causeway Bay to help support local environmental education and raise funds for environmental organisation Green Power.
The Natural Mix Market is essentially a spacious open kitchen stocked with vegetables and spices from local farms. Visitors are encouraged to be their own chef and come up with their own one-of-a-kind dishes using the pantry under the guidance of a chef. For every dish created, Kiehl’s will donate HK$20 to Green Power, with an overarching target to raise HK$500,000. Already showing their support for the event are Hong Kong celebrities Yumiko Cheng, Real Ting, Rabeea Yeung, Hei Wong, Ranee Kwok, Shing Mak and many more.
Other things to expect are a gigantic cake-shaped installation composed of three Kiehl’s bestsellers (Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner, Ultra Facial Cream and Super Multi-Corrective Cream); an exhibition celebrating the brand’s heritage, a charity food stall selling iced pineapples, and a ‘Happy 165th Birthday to Kiehl’s’ digital game where players have to blow all the candles within 30 seconds to receive a complimentary sample of Kiehl’s products.
The event runs till September 1, 2016 and all are welcome to attend (whether you’re a master chef or not!). To join, just register in person at the market.
