In conjunction with the 71st Venice Film Festive in August, Jaeger-LeCoultre renewed its commitment to Emergency, the humanitarian association set up to treat victims of war and poverty. In 2011, Jaeger-LeCoultre joined Emergency’s cause to support and fund hospitals in Sudan and Afghanistan’s Panshir Valley.
Jaeger-leCoultre celebrated the event at a red carpet event where celebrities graced the carpet and toasted the renewal. Celebrities supported Jaeger-LeCoultre’s commitment to Emergency by wearing the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin, which was auctioned off to raise funds for the Godererch Surgical and Paediatric Centre in Sierra Leone. The Centre is Sierra Leone’s only free and high-quality hospital. Through Jaeger-LeCoultre’s support, the hospital will be able to renovate its physiotherapy department and create a third operating theatre as well as support the main activities of its paediatric department.
