CNY: Stay in Town for the Parade

Tsim Sha Tsui floats to life on the evening of Feb 18

If you are still reading this, then I guess you are staying in town for the holiday. Looks like the Hong Kong Tourism Board is putting together a crazy outdoor parade call The International Chinese New Year Night Parade sponsored by Cathay Pacific on Sunday night and if you are into sardine-packed crowds then this is where you should be.

It starts at 8pm – so my guess is, if you aren’t there in TST by 3pm you can forget about seeing the parade. A total of 13 floats will make their way down from Star Ferry in TST and roll up to Kowloon Park on Canton Road, down Kowloon Park Drive and to Salisbury Road where the HK Space Museum is in a crazy street party. Read all the details here – if you survive the experience, send us your photos and we’ll post the best.
