The Vision Man Takes the Top Honor

At last night’s Island Shangri-La’s StyleAwards Allan Zeman was named StyleMaker of the Year against people like director Wong Kar-Wai. Not surprising though since Zeman has done alot of great things for Hong Kong. He’s like a businessman version of former New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani.

Mr Zeman, who has been in Hong Kong for 37 years and is one of the city’s most prominent figures and influential businessmen, said that while the award was unexpected, style has always been a driving factor in his life – from fashion to architecture, food or film.

“This is recognition for some of the things I love,” he said. “Style is in everything you do, and I always say you should create your own style, think out of the box and do things differently. As long as you feel comfortable, then that’s good for you.”

There is a video interview with Zeman here.
