Gucci takes art to the heavens with the second instalment of the #GucciGram Tian digital art project. The project draws attention to the fashion house’s Tian print – as most of you probably know, ‘tian’ means ‘sky’ or ‘heaven’.
Creative Director Alessandro Michele called upon various artists around the Asia-Pacific region for the collaboration, all of whom brought fresh perspectives to the print. Artist Cao Fei from China created a pair of Tian slippers photographed in the city, while Red Hong Yi of Malaysia used objects to paint Tian paintings, and Fajar P. Domingo from Indonesia created collages of the print.
The #GucciGram Tian project has taken off on social media with the hashtag #GucciGram – you can also check out the complete works on Gucci’s microsite created especially for the project.
