Marketplace for premium and luxury pre-owned fashion, Vestiaire Collective will be running the Liz Goldwyn Hollywod Archive sale. This sale features 300 rare vintage pieces by Filmmaker and Designer Goldwyn dating back from the 1920s to the early 2000s.
Growing up in Hollywood, Goldwyn is a big fan of vintage fashion and classic feminine glamour. She started her collection from age 13, picking out burlesque corsets from 1860 and tea dresses sourced from LA’s many thrift shops as well as contemporary pieces from avant-garde designers of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Key pieces for the Vestiaire Collective collection includes a white silk dress from Nicolas Ghesquiere’s highly sought after Spring/Summer 2001 Balenciaga white collection, the iconic Martin Margiela Tabi block heel shoes and leather gloves circa 1990, a Gianni Versace pink mini dress from the 1992 spring collection, a classic Alaïa beige silk two-piece bra top and short set.
Ten percent of all profits from the sale will benefit Dress for Success, a Hong Kong-based charity that empowers women to achieve economic independence through networks of support, professional attire, and mentoring.
The collection is available to purchase on Vestiaire Collective’s website here from 25th October 2018 onwards.
