Paul & Joe Fall/Winter 2012

Boyfriend dressing for fall.

Sometimes there’s more satisfaction that comes from throwing on your boyfriend’s shirt and making it work.

There’s a certain confidence that comes with masculine dressing and one that we definitely admire. This is exactly what Sophie Albou looked to for Paul & Joe’s Fall Winter 2012 collection.

There’s nothing that screams fall more than a tribute to the English countryside. With a runway backdrop plastered with photos of woods in full autumn glory, the clothes were a straightforward mix of mannish tweed coats, floor-grazing trenches and feminine florals. With a color palette of burnt shades and the occasional glimpse of hunter orange and amber, the tailored tomboy looks were stylishly practical.

The pajama as outerwear trend also made an appearance in the form of head-to-toe prints topped with a royal navy velvet blazer. It may be a bit far fetched for conservative Hong Kong, but it’s a look we wish we could rock.
