British singer starts vintage-inspired clothes line.
How many popstars can claim to not only have three Ivor Novello awards and two multi-platinum albums under their belt but also to have been a muse for Chanel and kick-started a trend for wearing prom dresses with trainers? Well, Lily Allen is no ordinary popstar and now she’s started her own clothes range too.
Lucy In Disguise, a joint venture with half-sister Sarah Owen, is themed around a fictional ‘time-travelling fashionista’ (the titular Lucy) who loves dressing up and having fun with her clothes. The line, available on Shopbop.com (with free international delivery to Hong Kong), is full of vintage-inspired dresses in colourful prints and era-bouncing styles. Prices range from around HK$1400 for a nautical romper suit to over HK$5000 for a flapper-inspired sequinned number.
There are also plans to sell the range in luxury stores around the world, including our very own Lane Crawford so stay tuned for more.
Either way, we love these dresses which fulfil our desire for all things pretty and vintage without having to rummage through piles of clothes at the local thrift shop!
