Fendi unleashes tons of images for their new ‘Nature’ collection.
Fendi Hong Kong has sent us a bunch of photos from their upcoming Fall/Winter 2008-2009 collection that is inspired by the most fascinating aspects of nature as it contrasts defined graphics and super-soft curves for the ultimate sleek feminine look.
Below is a ton of images for your viewing pleasure and we’ll have a video of the runway online tomorrow:
The symbol of highest refinement of Fendi Fall/Winter 08-09 is the body conscious attitude that reigns uncontested on all total looks, adding to the play on volumes and proportions. Applications of cloth move loosely on the shoulders and neck as if they were leaves fallen from trees. Large belts over cape coats and cardigans with poufed sleeves and high collars outline the bust and define the women’s waistline.
Tones: Natural colors, very classical tones: grey, black, blue and ivory
Textures: Silk organza, macro openwork jersey, hi-gloss and opaque crocodile, suede, cable knit, Astrakhan cashmere, nappa leather
This is done without the need to renounce the elaborate and highly technological manufacturing. The novelty of this season is “Gold on Fur”. This revolutionary effect has been produced and presented for the first time and is obtained through a special process called molecular division, which pure gold is deposited on the fur, this technology gives life to a unique element, a true jewel created by Fendi’s master furriers: Fendi Gold Fur Coat.
Types of Fur: Frosted Sable, bias cut Persian, braided Chinchilla, 24-K gold Fox, Mink and Persian lamb.
To complement the cocoon form in this season’s ready-to-wear, Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi revisited the very high heels knee-high and ankle-high boots to enhance the legs. The play on geometries and minimal forms, the colors of earth, and the most sophisticated shades of wood and brushwood, these boots in suede, leather and patent are not just an explicit reference to nature, but, more simply, the Fendi style.
The comeback of the real handbag – “Secret Code”. This “object of desires” demonstrates refined craftsmanship with its structure, classic forms, embellished by large cabochons as its distinctive work. As the name suggested, “Secret Code” is inspired by the design of a “safe” where the cabochons represents the looks.
The bi-functional games of handles and shoulder strap will transform the bag beyond occasions and fashion.
