A seductive collection of blurred prints and moody hues.

The Audi Fashion Festival 2011 Singapore, is the 3rd year that this show is running in Singapore. The week was chock-full of fashion shows. The Erdem show was one of the first shows we attended.

A bit about the designer, Canadian-born British designer Erdem Moralioglu is based in London and founded his label Erdem in 2005. He has won many accolades for his designs, including the British Fashion Council/Vogue’s first Fashion Fund Award in 2010. Erdem does print really well and makes very romantic, feminine dresses made of beautiful silk and chiffon.

The collection featured his signature blurred prints on pieces like trench coats and separates rendered in deep, moody hues. It’s womanly yet seductive with a dark underbelly. We see them as wearable works of art. What we love most are the luxurious velvet gowns. They’re elegant and regal, jazzed up by brighter bits of color!
