Chloe Summer 2013

By Butterboom Writers  /  March 8, 2013

A retrospective collection celebrating Chloe’s 60 years.

To mark 60 years since the birth of Chloe, Creative Director Clare Waight Keller looked to the founder, Gaby Aghion, for inspiration. The resulting collection is a celebration of the freedom of the Chloe girl and the effortlessness of her style.

The flowing silhouettes that we have come to expect from Chloe are balanced with boxier, more masculine tailoring and crisp Japanese fabrics.

Ruffles provide detailing on dresses and skirts while sleeves and pants were adorned with a crystal arrow, a nod to Karl Lagerfeld‘s time at the head of the brand. The overall aesthetic is true to the original codes of the brand, with stunning dresses and casual-smart tailoring, all of which is hugely wearable, evoking the effortless, carefree attitude of Aghion herself; the original Chloe girl.
